Before buying a camera, of course, you have to carefully estimate what camera you want to buy, what kind of camera you need and also the capabilities of the camera you are going to buy. and here I will share some things that you should pay attention to before you buy a camera. Some of the suggestions that I will give you can make a reference before buying a camera, both for those of you only as a hobby or for those of you who are professionals.

1. The Camera Sensor

The sensor from the camera is the main thing that you must pay attention to before buying a camera, because the camera sensor will be the benchmark for your future needs. cameras that are currently circulating generally use 2 sensors. namely Full Frame and APS-C sensors.

For those of you who are beginners and for the first time wanting to buy a camera, you can start by buying a camera with an APS-C sensor where a camera with an APS-C sensor has a cheaper price than a camera with a Full Frame sensor and also for the price of lenses used in cameras with APS-C sensors can be said to be cheaper when compared to lenses for Full Frame cameras.

And for those of you who are already deep in your hobbies or maybe already making money from photos, my suggestion is that maybe you should buy or upgrade your camera, which might have been an APS-C camera with a Full Frame, because for features and usability, a camera with a full frame sensor. indeed it is quite a lot brazier when compared to a camera with an APS-C sensor.

However, it should be noted, where cameras with Full Frame sensors are quite expensive when compared to cameras with APS-C sensors and also have higher lens prices when compared to cameras with APS-C sensors.

2. Type Of Camera

type of the camera

The type of a camera is the second thing that you must pay attention to before buying a camera, where for now there are 2 types of cameras that are commonly used, namely DSRL cameras and mirrorless cameras.

The difference between these two types of cameras can be seen easily, where if we look at the bodies of these two types of cameras it is very different, where mirrorless cameras have bodies that are smaller and slimmer when compared to DSLR cameras. These two types of cameras also have 2 types of sensors, namely APS-C and Full Frame, where for full frame cameras from mirrorless are very much slimmer when compared to full frame from DSLR cameras.

The difference between these two types of cameras apart from the body is on the glass on this camera, where the DSLR still uses the glass that is usually used to see through the viewfinder while the mirrorless viewfinder is replaced using an electronic viewfinder which makes mirrorless no longer need a mirror or glass.

besides that, if you buy a mirrorless type camera, it's possible that you will have a little trouble finding the lens, especially if you buy a mirrorless with an APS-C sensor, where mirrorless cameras with APS-C sensors are still very rare when compared to Mirrorless with Full Frame sensors.

3. Low Light Capability

The low light ability of a camera is the third thing that you should pay attention to before buying a camera. where in this case the low light capability in question is the ISO of a camera.

Low light from a camera is quite important in my opinion, because if you are someone who likes nightphotography, you certainly need a camera with good ISO capabilities, where you certainly don't want your photos to be limited by the lack of ISO capabilities of your camera.

for now, there are many cameras in the middle class that offer sufficient low light capability where you can take photos with a high enough ISO without worrying that your photos will have a lot of noise.

and also if you buy a camera with a full frame sensor, of course you don't need to worry about the low light capabilities of your camera, because indeed for a camera with a full frame sensor, of course, you already have low light capability which is very good when compared to cameras with sensors. APS-C, because in terms of price it is very different.

4. The Brand Of Camera

The brand of a camera is one of the most important things, where the brand of a camera determines the number of lenses you can use and also the costs that you will pay later.

For some cameras like Nikon, having quite a few lens or lens variants available, the same is true with Sony. where these two brands have quite a few third pary lenses available. although the availability of these lenses can be tricked by using an adapter, this is still not the first choice.

other than that some brands like Sony have a price for each of their expensive lenses where the price range can be tens to tens of millions for a lens. so you have to pay close attention to choosing the brand of the camera, but if you don't really care about the price then this might not really affect you.

Okay, maybe that's just a few tips from me, if you have a different opinion, please submit it in the comments column.
